Grace Qian is a realist oil painter based in Toronto, Canada. She graduated from Etobicoke School of the Arts in 2020 and is currently earning her BFA at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Grace started to develop an interest in art when she was 7. Her recent practice revolves primarily around oil painting and drawing. Through portraiture, she examines themes of closeness and vulnerability, in which a space for deeper understanding, healing, and moving forward is made possible. As of late, her paintings question the idea of the self and how it plays into the world.
